I provide parent consultations over a cup of coffee at my home or online, to equip you with knowlege to support your child's speech and language development. My goal is to foster understanding and connection within families to help your child thrive.

Hello and welcome! I'm Allison Darrow, a dedicated speech-language pathologist with a passion for supporting each child's unique strengths and developmental needs. I specialize in DIRFloortime, a play-based approach rooted in understanding the whole child, and fostering meaningful connections through joyful interactions.
My advance training in dyspraxia, Natural Language Acquisiton and Gestalt Language Processing, alllow me to provide a comprehensive, tailored approach to speech and language development that respect's each child's individual path. I am committed to help children achieve their highest and happiest level of communication!

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including elementary schools, preschools, and hospitals. I am certified in DIRFloortime through the Profectum Academy, and I incorporate these principles into my therapy to help children achieve meaningful communication milestones. It is my pleasure to work closely with families and caregivers to ensure a truly collaborative and comprehensive approach.

I have extensive experience treating children with childhood apraxia of speech, receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, and autism spectrum disorder. I understand firsthand the importance of nurturing communication in a way that honor's each child's individuality. My own experiences have deeply inspired my work, and I'm committed to supporting families with the same empathy and insight that guides my practice. Parents, caregivers, and siblings are always welcome to participate in sessions!

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University and my Master's degree in Communication Disorders from The Pennsylvania State University.
